Hygropoda chandrakantii ( Reddy & Patel 1993) View in CoL comb. nov.
Note. From the original illustrations ( Tikader 1970: figs 35a–b; Reddy & Patel 1993: figs 7–10) it is clear that the species belong to Hygropoda . Epigyne of H. sikkimus comb. nov. is probably closest to H. yunnan Zhang, Zhu & Song 2004 , that of H. chandrakantii comb. nov. to H. argentata Zhang, Zhu & Song 2004 (cf. Dankittipakul 2008: figs 8, 15). Elongated opisthosoma and typical colour pattern point also to placement in Hygropoda . Moreover, none of the typical characters of Tinus (e.g. distinct lateral lobes) are present in the two species (cf. Carico 1976: figs 18–31).
