The new record below documents a new locality and a new depository for identified specimens of this species, which is found in the Sierra Nevada Mountains of California south to the San Gabriel Mountains and north to southern Oregon, and in the Rocky Mountains from southern British Columbia south to New Mexico. Identified specimens deposited in museum collections now number 118.
