Distribution in Iran. Guilan ( Ghahari et al. 2009a as Hormius tatianae ), Iran (no specific locality) ( Papp 1988; Fallahzadeh and Saghaei 2010).
Distribution outside Iran. Widely distributed in semi desert/desert zone of the western Palaearctic region (Tobias et al. 1998). Afghanistan, Tajikistan, Tunisia, Uzbekistan ( Yu et al. 2012), Greece, Kazakhstan, Morocco, Turkmenistan ( Papp 2007; Yu et al. 2012), Israel ( Papp 1988, 2007, 2011–2012; Yu et al. 2012), Jordan ( Papp 2007), Kazakhstan, Morocco ( Papp 1988; Yu et al. 2012), Mongolia ( Papp 1988, 2007, 2009b; Yu et al. 2012).
Host records. It is reared as a parasitoid of the pyralid, Ancylosis fulvobasella Ragonot ( Lepidoptera : Pyralidae ) ( Yu et al. 2012; Quicke 2015).
