The epichthonia View in CoL -group
Diagnostic characters. 2nd palpomere with tight scale tuft arranged in triangle ventro-distally ( Fig. 5 View FIGURES 3 − 5 ) except in E. valvispinata that is arranged loosely in rectangle throughout ventral surface. Forewing ground color dark, with indistinct patterns; R5 present and stalked with R4 ( Fig. 7 View FIGURES 6 − 7 ). Tegumen concave on anterior margin in male genitalia. Eighth tergite distinctly convex at middle on posterior margin except slightly convex in E. epichthonia ; ductus bursae significantly coiled in distal part; ductus seminalis arising from where ductus bursae starting coiling in female genitalia.
