Hister aschanti Schmidt, 1889

Hister congoensis Bickhardt, 1911 has been later synonimized by the same author (Bickhardt, 1919: 113) with H. aschanti Schmidt. The types of both these species were studied and, additionally, the lecto- and paralectotype for H. congoensis Bickhardt were designated.
