3. Hirtuleius laeviceps Stål, 1875: 81 View in CoL . LT [by present designation], ♀: Brasil.; Hirtuleius laeviceps Stål ; Typus; NRM-PHAS 0000649 [ NHRS]; PLT, ♀: Cotypus; NRM-PHAS 0000650 [ NHRS]. ( Figs. 30A–C, 30E–G View FIGURE 30 , 83D View FIGURE 83 )
Remarks: The lighter coloured specimen with whitish mottling, that bears a locality label and a red type-label stating “Typus”, is here designated as the lectotype of H. laeviceps in order to guarantee stability of Stål’s name ( Fig. 30A View FIGURE 30 ). Unfortunately, this species has not yet been recorded since it’s description in 1875 why no more exact locality than “ Brazil ” is known. There however is a fully complete ♀ in the collection of ZMPA that has been briefly examined from pictures of the collection drawers taken by Paul D. Brock (NHMUK) but sadly inquiries at the corresponding collection manager have not received an answer. Thus, the locality data of this specimen are not available.
Distribution: Brazil [NHRS].
