Heterobarcinus minor n. sp.
( Fig. 8; photo 6)
Material examined: Holotype ♂, glued on triangular card, labelled: “ China, Yunnan, Mengla / Yaoqu 560m / 2007.V.27 Cao L.M./ Ent.Mus.CAU, Beijing ”/” Holotype ♂ / Heterobarcinus / minor n. sp. / des. E.HEISS 2009”. ( CAU).
Diagnosis: Closely related to schaeferi n. sp. but distinguished from the latter by anterolateral pronotal lobe larger and more diverging anteriorly and by its different shape, by pe-angles of deltg II–V more angularly projecting, that of deltg VII rounded not rectangular.
Description: Macropterous male. General colouration dark brown, yellowish are the round apodemal impressions on deltg III–VII and those of the midlateral area; tergites VII and VIII black; body and appandages with short curled yellowish pilosity, which is shorter on antennal segment II–IV and tibiae.
Head: Longer than width across eyes (18/15.5); genae projecting over clypeus, flattened and truncate anteriorly, shorter than ½ of antennal segment I; antenniferous lobes diverging anteriorly, apex subacute; antennae short 2.68x as long as width of head (41.5/15.5), segment I longest and thickest, II cylindrical with thickened apex, III longest, IV shortest and fusiform with pilose apex; posterolateral lobes spine-like directed laterally; rostrum as long as head arising from a slit-like atrium.
Pronotum: 2.44 x as wide as long at middle (44/18); lateral margins diverging and sinuate anteriorly, anterolateral lobe broad, projecting anteriorly with rounded apex; collar ring-like; disk of anterior lobe with two ovate smooth callositiesw, posterior lobe raised, posterior margin bisinuate.
Scutellum: Triangular wider than long (21/14); lateral margins sinuate and carinate; disk elevated at base bearing two round projections overlapping the pronotum and a median carina which is depressed at apex; surface laterad of pilose median carina transversely rugose.
Abdomen: Lateral margin of dentate outline due to angularly projecting pe-angles of deltg II–V, pe-angle of deltg VI triangular and large, that of deltg VII triangular but smaller; deltg III–VII with large round markings of apodemal impressions, those of midlateral area oval and exposed; tergite VII raised at middle, pygophore rounded posteriorly; paratergites VIII slightly produced over pygophore, the single male was not dissected for the study of paramerees; spiracles III–VI ventral and far from lateral margin, VII closer to margin, VIII lateral and visible from above.
Hemelytra: Corium with sinuate and carinate anterolateral margins reaching posterior margin of deltg II; membrane covering the tergal plate, with irregular anastomosed veins.
Legs: Structure as in H. schaeferi n. sp.
Measurements: Holotype ♂: Length 10.4 mm; head l/w 18/15.5; pronotum w/l 44/18; scutellum w/l 21/ 14; length antennae I/II/III/IV = 14/9.5/17/6.5; ration l antennae / w head 2.68; w abdomen across tergite IV 58, VI 53, VII 27.
Etymology: H. minor is the smallest species of the genus with the relatively shortest antennae to which the name refers.
