Generitype of Hebenstretia Linnaeus (vide Green, Prop. Brit. Bot.: 168. 1929).

Current name: Hebenstretia dentata L. ( Scrophulariaceae ).

Note: Rolfe (in J. Linn. Soc., Bot. 20: 343. 1884) noted the existence of several sheets in LINN and stated that the name was founded on the Commelin and Burman references. Hedberg (in Symb. Bot. Upsal. 15(1): 167. 1957) designated 788.2 (LINN) as lectotype, but this collection was a post-1753 addition to the herbarium and is not original material for the name.
