Distribution
This species was found in a southwestern province (Guizhou Province) and an eastern province (Fujian Province) of Oriental China.
Diagnosis
This new species differs from other known species of the genus Hayesomyia by the banded abdomen, characteristic wing markings, and banded legs. It is similar to H. zayunica sp. n. in having an expanded tergite VIII distally, but the markings of the body and wings are different.
