Diagnosis. The forewing length is 10–10.5 mm in males and 10.5–11.5 mm in females. The detailed comparison with the similar H. thaifascia sp. n. is provided below in the diagnosis of the latter species.
Distribution. Northeast India (Meghalaya and Arunachal Pradesh) ( Hampson 1900; Kirti & Singh 2016), northern Myanmar (Shan State) ( Hampson 1894), south-western China (Xizang) ( Huang et al. 2021) and North Thailand (Chiang Mai Province) ( Černý & Pinratana 2009, partim). The records from the Thailand provinces of Lampang, Tak, Sakhon Nakhon and Nakhon Ratchasima by Černý & Pinratana (2009) require clarification. The records from Java and Bali ( Černý & Pinratana 2009) probably belong to species of the externally reminiscent Miltochrista perihaemia Hampson, 1900 species-group.
