Diagnosis. Ac not present; legs and halter black; male fore tarsomere 5 compressed dorsoventrally, with a prolonged and re-curved claw; hind tibia in males with hook-like apical spine posteriorly.

Description. Male: Length (holotype): body 1.4 mm, wing 1.8 mm. Head: Frons and face dark brown, with dense brownish pruinosity; eyes converging below antennae and almost contiguous; palpus dark brown with short, black apical seta; antenna dark brown, first flagellomere triangular, as long as high; lower postoculars brownish. Thorax: Mesonotum and scutellum dark metallic green, with dense brownish pruinosity; 5 strong dc, anteriormost distinctly shorter; ac not present; scutellum with 2 strong marginal setae and 2 smaller lateral setae; pleura dark brown shining. Legs: Coxae and remainder of legs dark brown to black. Fore leg: Coxa with brownish-yellow anterior setae; femur bare of major setae; tibia slightly swollen, without setae; tarsomere 5 distinctly compressed, and anterior claw prolonged and re-curved (MSSC); relative podomere ratios: 65, 60, 23/12/8 /6/15. Mid leg: Coxa with some anterior setae; femur with several long pale ventral setae on basal half, as long as diameter of femur; tibia with ad/pd setal pair at 1/4; relative podomere ratios: 70, 78, 34/14/11 /8/10. Hind leg: Coxa with 1 strong lateral seta; femur bare of major setae; tibia with 1 strong dorsoapical seta and small hook-like apical spine posteriorly (MSSC); relative podomere ratios: 80, 90, 18/ 30/19/12 /13. Wing: Hyaline; R4+5 and M subparallel in distal half; CuAx ratio: 0.5; RMx ratio: 1.4; lower calypter pale brown with fan of brownish setae; halter dark brown. Abdomen: Dark metallic green, with dense brownish pruinosity; epandrium, cercus and surstylus dark brown. Hypopygium ( Figs. 2 View FIGURE 2 A–B): hypandrium symmetrical, broad, with apical incision; epandrial lobe rectangular, with 4 strong subapical setae; surstylus not divided into dorsal and ventral lobes, narrow, with small setulae apically; postgonite slender, curved, with small setulae; cercus narrow and prolonged. Female: Similar to male, but face broader and lacking MSSC.

Etymology. The name refers to the recurved claw on fore tarsomere 5 in males.
