scientific name

Allographa nuda (H. Magn.) Lücking & Kalb
status

Graphis nuda (H. Magn.) Staiger & Lücking View in CoL , in: Lücking et al. (2008: 93).

The entry in the checklist ( Buaruang et al. 2017) is based on Graphina ruiziana var. gracilior Müll. Arg. (1882: 385) Graphis ruiziana var. gracilior (Müll. Arg.) Vain. (1909: 125) . However, it is very unlikely, that this taxon is conspecific with Graphis nuda [≡ Allographa nuda (H. Magn.) Lücking & Kalb comb. nov.; Mycobank MB 827674; Basionym: Graphina nuda H. Magn., Ark. Bot. View in CoL 3 (10): 266 (1955).]. Vainio (loc. cit.) states in the description of the specimen from Thailand: “Thallus ... KHO primum flavescens, dein rubescens.” Also the holotype in G from Java shows a K+ reaction (P. Clerc in litt.) while the type of G. nuda is without secondary lichen products (TLC). Therefore, the name G. nuda must be deleted from the Thai Graphis checklist.
