ORIGINAL DESCRIPTION: 1863: 41.

TYPE LOCALITY: “ Amer. Aequat. [Equatorial (South) America]”.

TYPE MATERIAL: 1 ♀, syntype ( MZUN: Box Coll. entomol. extra-europea, Gen. Grallomya a Celiphus): Grallomya albivola Rnd., Am. equat. [= Equatorial America] / M. Zool. N° 11461.

CURRENT STATUS: junior synonym of Calobata rufifacies Macquart, 1851 ( Steyskal 1968a: 19) View in CoL .

REMARKS: Rondani (1863: 41) described Grallomya albivola , without specifying the number, the sex or the length of the specimens, from material received from M. Spinola. Costa (1866: 39) listed a single MZUN specimen numbered “739”. We also found one syntype in this study.
