Syntypes. Unclear, at least four: Academy of Natural Sciences of Philadelphia (ANSP) 331921 and National Museum of Natural History (USNM) 12425A, collected by Van Patten. Downs (1967: 160) designated ANSP 3320, an adult female, the lectotype.
Typelocality. Near Guatemala City.
Distribution. Pacific versant of Chiapas, Mexico to eastern Guatemala, 6001500 m elevation.
Species group. sieboldi ( Downs 1967) .
