Gastrallus michalskii sp. nov.

Type material. Holotype (unsexed): Amber inclusion No. 5295, Poland, Gdansk city area, ( JHAC).

Description of holotype. Measurements (mm): TL 3.2 EW 1.6. Body piceous, covered by very short setation, very convex transversally (Fig. 1). Antennae and legs black. Head evenly convex, matt, finely punctured. Eyes large, slightly globular. Antennae with 10 antennomeres (Fig. 2). Pronotum transverse, strongly convex, without bump. Lateral margin visible, with very small denticles. Surface of pronotum matt, finely punctured on disc, coarsely punctured laterally. Scutellum trapezoidal, slightly wider than long. Elytra matt, with double punctuation - the first is coarse and sparse, the second is fine and dense, with fine striae, lateral striae more distinct. Epipleuron coarsely punctured. Metasternum finely punctured. Abdominal visible ventrites finely punctured with short setation; first and second sternites broad, third and fourth sternites narrow, fifth sternite broad.

Differential diagnosis. The new species belongs to the genus Gastrallus Jacquelin du Val, 1860 . The genus recently contains almost 90 species distributed worldwide ( Zahradník 2009). The new species differs from two amber species Gastrallus zjantaru Zahradník & Háva, 2014 and Falsogastralus groehni Háva & Zahradník, 2019 as follows:

Name derivation. Dedicated to amber specialist Artur Michalski (Wroclaw, Poland).
