Type material. Paralectotypes 1♂, 1♀ (ZMH-A0000197); syntype 1♂ (ZMH-A0000199); syntype 1♀ (ZMH- A 0000194).
Taxonomic remarks. There are two males in the SMF collection (catalog no. 6923, 9902522) and one of these is a microscope slide. Zilch (1946: 144) mentions that the male from Wardartal in Makedonien (catalog no. 9902522) is the lectotype. The ZMH specimens are part of the series and paralectotypes, following designation of the lectotype by Zilch (1946).
Collection remarks. The type locality is the area of the Vardar and Struma Rivers in Macedonia . The specimen was collected by German zoologist and physicist Friedrich Ahlborn (1858–1937) who lived in Hamburg and was affiliated with the ZMH for some time.
