Type locality: Morocco, Essaouira (Mogador) .
Material examined. Thar-Es-Souk, 34.65847°N, 4.24169°W (650 m), 5.VI.2013 (2♂♂, 1♀); E Fes, 34.05163°N, 5.26574°W (310 m), 20.III.2019 (4♂♂, 2♀♀, 2♀♀ nymphs; adults and nymphs last instar collected and some moulted in captivity).
Remarks. E. laetus is among the most polymorphic species of the genus Euryparyphes . Pronotum of both sexes is moderately raised, laterally compressed, interrupted by the sulcus, enlarged posteriorly (mainly in the male), with the hind lower margin just bulging. Lateral keels are callused, hind margins festooned, mainly in the hind angle.
Distribution. E. laetus is distributed in central Morocco, from the Middle Atlas to Fès, Meknès, Rabat and Casablanca, and the area of Agadir, where the types were collected; it is one of the most southern species of Euryparyphes .
