Type material. Holotype. VIETNAM: 1 female, Tonkin: Mont. Bavi., de Cooman coll. (de Cooman det.).
Material examined. CHINA: Yunnan: 2 females, Xishuangbanna, west of Menglun, 630 m, dead wood, 2004. II.21, Jie Wu & Jiaolin Zhang coll.; 1 female, Xishuangbanna, Mengla protected area, 740 m, dead wood, 2004. II.15, Jie Wu coll.; 1 female, Xishuangbanna, Mengla protected area, 730 m, dead wood, 2004. II.15, Jie Wu coll.; 1 male, Xishuangbanna, west of Mengla, 720 m, dead wood, 2004. II.16, Jie Wu coll.
Remarks. Since the original description ( Cooman 1941) is based on the “monotype”, we interpret the examined type specimen as the holotype.
This species can be easily distinguished from all other congeneric species by its dense longitudinal sculptures on the body surface and the short marginal mesoventral stria.
