Eugenia glomerata Spring ex Martius is an illegitimate name for which the replacing name Eugenia neoglomerata was proposed; nevertheless, Kuntze had already published a new name for this species under Myrtus Linnaeus (1753: 471) ; his name has priority over Eugenia neoglomerata , and the proper new combination is presented here.
