Range: —Disjunct from northern Peru to Bolivia (BE, LP).
Ecology: —Locally fairly common; pendent epiphyte, rarely on fallen trunks or on the ground, in semihumid forests in intermontane valleys; 300–1850 m.
Notes: —Most similar to P. desvauxii in Bolivia, both species having relatively few pairs (1–3) of strongly ascending pinnae.
