Etymology: The species is named for its small and brown colored basidiomata.

Remark: Entoloma subglobisporum is published as E. subglobispora (incorrect ortographic variant).

Remark: Epithets angustosporum and angustisporum are so similar that they are likely to be confused. Therefore, they need to be treated as homonyms (see article 53.3. in McNeill et al. 2012).

Etymology: The species is named for its small and snow white colored basidiomata.
