Positive for nitrate reduction, glucose fermentation, arginine dihydrolase, esculin hydrolysis, and β -galactosidase in API 20NE, but negative for indole production, urease, and gelatinase. D-Glucose, L-arabinose, D-mannose, D-mannitol, N -acetyl-glucosamine, D-maltose, potassium gluconate, malic acid, trisodium citrate, and phenylacetic acid are utilized. Does not utilize capric acid and adipic acid. Strain CR6-3 (= NIBRBA0000113862) has been isolated from a plant root sample, Chiak Mountain, Wonju, Korea.
