Discussion. This species was originally described from specimens taken in the southwestern peninsula of Celebes, consistent with the additional records listed above, and its range extends northward from that area into the Tana Toraja region of central Celebes. It exhibits sexual dimorphism in body size, with males noticeably larger than females.
