Elachista albicapitella Engel, 1907: 277 View in CoL . Type locality: U.S.A., Pennsylvania, Pittsburgh ( Engel 1907: 277). Holotype, gender not stated in original description. According to Braun (1948: 66) ♂, in USNM.
Subgenus: Elachista View in CoL ; bifasciella View in CoL species group.
Distribution: Nearctic. Canada (Newfoundland, Nova Scotia, Ontario, Quebec), U.S.A. (Massachusetts, Ohio, Pennsylvania).
Larval host plant(s): Poa sylvestris A. Gray ( Poaceae ) ( Braun 1920: 170).
