Eibesfeldtphora trifurcata Uribe & Brown View in CoL new species
( Fig. 1 View FIGURES 1 – 2 )
Diagnosis. This species differs in having an oviscape with three well-defined, enlarged lobes, two of which are dorsal and one ventral. The dorsal lobes are joined making an acute angle similar to a fork; the ventral lobe is widely separated from the dorsals and is both narrower in shape and longer. These characteristics are different from those of E. trilobata Disney , whose lobes are aligned one by the other (compare to Disney et al. 2009: figure 3).
Description. Female. Body length 2.27–2.59 mm. Apex of foretarsomere 5 not narrowed. Foretibia with dorsal longitudinal row of enlarged setulae (palisade). Costa 0.37–0.43 wing length. Oviscape with three lateral lobes, two dorsals in a fork shape, separated from the ventral; ventral lobe narrower, longer.
Derivation of specific epithet. The name refers to the three lobes and the way the two dorsal lobes join into a fork.
