Dziriblatta (Autumnoblatta) nasuta , sp. nov.
Figs. 12 View Fig A–Q, 13A–J, 22E, 25F, 29.
Etymology. The species name refers to the noselike (Latin: nasus) process at the posterior border of the glandular pit of T 7 in the male.
Diagnosis. From other species of the subgenus mainly distinguished by the noselike process of the T7 glandular pit.
Material studied.
Type material. Morocco. Holotype, 1♂, Moyen Atlas, Tizi-n-Âït-Ouirra (NE Beni-Mellal), 1300 m, 28.VIII.1984, leg. B. & H.Bohn (completely on two slides: Ma 23/16). (C. Bohn, ZSM).
Additional material. Morocco. 16♂, 11 L, ex L : 23♂, 18♀, same data as holotype (slides: ♂, Ma 23/1–3,4–
6,12–15,17–20,21; ♀, Ma 23/8,9); same locality as holotype : 4♀, 31.V.1989, leg. B. & H.Bohn (slides: Ma 23a/3– 6); ex L: 4♂, 4L, 14.VIII.1999, leg. H.Bohn (Ma 23b); 8♂, 1♀, 2♀ ex L, 25.IX.2000, leg. B. & H.Bohn (slides: ♂, Ma 23c/2–5; ♀, Ma 23c/1). (C. Bohn, ZSM).
Description. Size. Length of pronotum in male 1.70–1.89 (mean 1.79) mm, in female 1.92–2.11 (mean 2.02) mm.
Male structures. T7 gland: Anterior pouch as described above, just reaching the anterior border of the tergite (Fig. 13E). Pit (Figs. 13A, B, D) partly devided into two rounded compartments by a rather broad longitudinal ridge arising from the posterior wall and reaching about half of the length of the pit; dorsal edge of the ridge elongated to a noselike process almost reaching the anterior margin of the pit opening. The two compartments further partly divided by a thin transversal wall ending at some distance from the longitudinal ridge. Tip of gland bristles with rufflelike specialisation (Fig. 13C). Supraanal plate relatively long, posterior border obtuse-angularly rounded ( Fig. 12H View Fig ). Glandular pores present on the anterior half of T2–10, in extremely high density on T5, 6, and 9 (Figs. 13G, H).
Colouration. Female. Mainly straw-coloured, areas with darker, brownish markings: occasionally head with a narrow interocular stripe, sparse small dots on thoracal nota and tergites, tergites with a broad transversal stripe anteriorly of the transversal ridge, and, posteriorly along the ridge, with up to seven unregularly shaped patches, sternites except the lightly coloured lateral margins, and ventral surface of cerci. ( Figs. 12J,N,O View Fig ). Male. As in female, but dark areas on tergites 6 and 7 much more extended. ( Figs. 12 View Fig A–H, I, M).
Distribution. So far only found at one locality (Ma 23) in the Middle Atlas, northeast of Beni Mellal (Fig. 29).
