ORIGINAL DESCRIPTION: 1875b: 174 (key), 176 (description).

TYPE LOCALITY: “ in Emilia [ Emilia (Italy) ]”.

TYPE MATERIAL: 1 ♀, holotype ( MZUF: Box 35): Domomyza Rnd. / parva Rndn. / 1868 / holotype / Domomyza parva, K.A. Spencer det., 1986, ♀ / = Agromyza .

CURRENT STATUS: nomen dubium View in CoL in Agromyzidae View in CoL ( Papp 1984b: 343, Spencer & Martinez 1987: 264). The type species of the genus Domomyza Rondani, 1856 ( Domomyza cincta ) belongs to Drosophilidae View in CoL , not Agromyzidae View in CoL (see note on this nominal species, p. 108).

REMARKS: Rondani (1875b: 176) described Domomyza parva without specifying either the number or the sex of the specimens and not giving a range of lengths. Spencer & Martinez (1987: 264) considered the single MZUF female as the holotype.
