Description of Domibacillus iocasae BT 725

Cells are Gram-staining-positive rods without a flagellum. Colonies are circular, convex, glistening, white-colored after three days of incubation at 25℃ on R2 A agar. Positive for gelatinase activity. Negative for nitrate reduction, indole production, glucose fermentation, esculin hydrolysis, and arginine dihydrolase, urease, and β-galactosidase activities. Does not utilize D- glucose, L- arabinose, D- mannose, D- mannitol, N- acetylglucosamine, D- maltose, potassium gluconate, capric acid, adipic acid, malic acid, trisodium citrate, and phenylacetic acid. Strain BT 725 (= NIBRBAC000508872) was isolated from soil from Samcheok, Gangwon-do, Korea (37°35′37.8″N 129° 05′22.8″E) GoogleMaps .
