Maba magnifolia H.Perrier, Mémoires de l’Institut scientifique de Madagascar, sér. B, 4: 104 (1952), syn. nov. — Lectotype (here designated): Perrier 8757 (P! [ P00573493 ]; iso-, P! [ P00573492 ]).
Perrier 8757 is here chosen as the lectotype of Maba magnifolia H.Perrier instead of the other syntype (Geay 7978) because it possesses fruit attached to the stem.
