Diagnosis – WingsPan 32–34 mm, lengthofforewing 14–16 mm. Vesti- tureoftheheadandbody, groundcolourofwingsvariousshadesofbrown, costalmarginandaPicalPatchsomewhatlighter, antemedialandPostmedial crosslineswhitish, subterminallinePalewhitish-ochreous; orbicularstigma tiny, circular, reniformstigmaelliPtical, bothstigmatabrown, latterincom- Pletelywhitishencircled; claviformstigmadarkbrown.

ThenewsPecies ( Figs 7–10 View Figs 1–8 View Figs 9–14 ) differsfromtheeXternallymostsimilar D. ferrisparsa ( Figs 1–2 View Figs 1–8 ) byitsPalergroundcolour, Particularlyinthefemales, moredistinctlymarkedandsomewhatdifferentlyshaPedantemedialand Postmedialcrosslines, moresinuousandlessdistinctlymarkedsubterminal line, andthesomewhatdarkerhindwinginnerareawithstrongermarked, lunulatediscalsPot.

Dicerogastraeuxoides iseasierdistinguishedfromtheotherHimalayan sPecies, D. costigerodes ( Figs 3–6 View Figs 1–8 ) byitssmallersize (wingsPan 32–34 mmand 37–39 mm, resPectively), muchlessProminentforewingcostalstriPeand whitishdefinedantemedialandPostmedialcrosslines, themoresinuousand lesssharPlymarkedsubterminallineand, lastbutnotleast, bythealmost unicolorousbrownhindwingwithwell- visibledarkcellularlunule. Thedifferentialdiagnosisof D. euxoides and D. jensergabori isgivenundertheDiagnosisofthelattersPecies.

Malegenitalia ( Figs 19–22 View Figs 15–20 View Figs 21–24 ) – ComParingthemaleclasPingaPParatuses ofthethreecloselyrelatedsPecies, D. euxoides hasthesmallestcucullus, largestandmostventro- aPicallyProjectedamPulla, andthelongestsPinesatbase ofharPe. Additionally, thevesicaof D. euxoides isarmedbyveryshort, ter- minallyPositionedcornutifieldwhereasitismuchlongerintheothertwo sPeciesandneverlocatedatthePosteriorendofthevesica.

Femalegenitalia ( Figs 27–28 View Figs 25–29 ) – Thefemalegenitaliaof D. euxoides differ fromthoseof D. jensergabori bythelackofsclerotisationfromthedistalPartof aPPendiXbursaeandthesomewhatshorter, mediallymoresclerotisedductus bursae; thedifferencesbetween D. euxoides andthetwosouthernHimalayan sPeciesarediscussedindetailundertheDiagnosisof D. costigerodes .

Distribution – ThenewsPeciesisknownfromthesouth-easternborders oftheTibetanPlateauinChina, fromYunnanandSichuan. Thisdistribution PatternhelPsthecorrectidentification, sincenosymPatricoccurrencewith thesouthernHimalayansPecieshithertodescribedisknown.

Etymology – ThesPecificnamereferstothesuPerficialsimilarityofthemalegeni- taliawiththoseofthe Euxoa Hübner, 1821 sPecies. TheverylongsPine- bundleandthe longPenicularhair- tuftresemblesinamacroscoPicviewthetwocharacteristicsclerotised Processes (amPullaandsacculareXtension) ofan Euxoa clasPingaPParatus.
