Remarks. In the absence of males this species is tentatively placed in Daochia . Although much larger in size than other congeners and having characteristically shaped second valvulae, D. superba has all the external diagnostic features of Daochia . It was originally placed in Honguchia Wei & Webb, 2010 , a genus which is very similar but differs in having the lateral margin of the postclypeus more strongly convex, apical veins of the forewing modified but not reticulate (as in Daochia ) and in the male genitalia by the much shorter styles.
