Type material. Male holotype ( MCN 10885) from General Câmara [29.90°S, 51.77°W], Rio Grande do Sul, Brazil, 19.X.1982, Erika Buckup leg. GoogleMaps
Etymology. The specific name is noun in apposition in honor of the Fundação Zoobotânica do Rio Grande do Sul, Porto Alegre, Brazil, for hosting scientists who have made valuable contributions to knowledge on Neotropical biota.
Diagnosis. Males resemble those of C. bicruciata and C. trinidad sp. nov. by having a spike on RvTA ( Figs 12D View FIGURE 12 , 13D View FIGURE 13 ). They differ from C. bicruciata by having a slight torsion of the embolus, and from C. trinidad sp. nov. by having a longer embolus (compare Figs 12D View FIGURE 12 and 13D View FIGURE 13 ).
Description. Male (holotype). Total length: 2.91. Carapace 1.38 long, 1.05 wide, 0.60 high. Ocular quadrangle 0.78 long. Anterior and posterior eye row 0.84 wide. Chelicera paturon with one promarginal and one retromarginal tooth, the promarginal with four cusps and the retromarginal with three. Length of femur: I 0.91, II 0.61, III 0.56, IV 0.73; patella + tibia: I 1.33, II 0.73, III 0.67, IV 0.87; metatarsus + tarsus: I 0.79, II 0.58, III 0.67, IV 0.78. Leg formula: 1423. Leg spination: femur I‒II d1-1-1, p0, r0; III d0-1-1, p0, r0; IV d1-1-1, p0, r0; patella I‒ IV 0; tibia I p0, r0, v2 -0-2a-2; II p0, r0, v1 r-1r-0; III 0; IV p0, r0, v2 di; metatarsus I‒II v2-2; III p2di, r1di, v0; IV p1di, r1di, v2 di. Palp ( Figs 13D‒13F View FIGURE 13 ): tibia short, RTA longer than wide ( Figs 13E‒13F View FIGURE 13 ); embolus fixed to the tegulum, arising proximally, with a path of 540° (1T+180°) before the distal coil ( Fig. 13D View FIGURE 13 ). Color in alcohol: carapace brown with a few white scales on sides of thoracic region and between PME and PLE, abdomen dorsum dark with light areas ( Fig. 13A View FIGURE 13 ), venter dark ( Fig. 13C View FIGURE 13 ), laterally without tuft of white scales ( Fig. 13B View FIGURE 13 ). Femur I light brown, other segments as in C. bicruciata , but with darker tarsus; other legs also as in C. bicruciata , but lighter.
Female. Unknown.
Distribution. Known only from General Câmara, Brazil.
