Type. China: Fujian Province, Kuatun , Holotype male ( ZFMK).
Diagnosis. Oval; 3.75 mm (n = 1) in length; 2.1 mm (n = 1) in width; derm fuscous; rostrum longer than half body length, margins strongly dilated from head to insertion of antennae, then narrow abruptly into cylindrical tube to antennal insertion; antennal club not as long as funicular segments 4–7 combined; segment 2 of funiculus as long as 1; pronotum broad at base, sinuate, tapering angularly to constriction, dorsally with broad median vitta of clavate, luteus scales, then vittae of fuscous and luteus scales, laterally and ventrally; scutellum small, as long as broad, almost square, clothed with luteus scales; elytra with shieldshaped macula of clavate, luteus scales, broad along base then tapering on intervals 1–4 to just beyond midpoint, interval 6 with vitta of luteus scales to midpoint; humeri clothed with fuscous scales, distad of humeri, intervals 7–10 with vitta of clavate, luteus scales to apex remaining scales fuscous; hind femur with smallsized tooth; prouncus small, metauncus simple; sternite 1 shorter than 2 behind coxal cavity; sternum clothed with clavate, luteus scales. Genitalia: not dissected.
Distribution. China: Fujian Province, Kuatun.
Remarks. Base of rostrum appears very similar to C. breviscapus and Curculio lisae n. sp. Pelsue and Zhang (2000 b), but can be separated by the thorasic and elytral scale pattern.
