Material examined. 1 subadult female ( MGAB CUM 1779 ), Tourmaline reef, Puerto Rico, Caribbean Sea, 18°10'31.0800"N, 67°19'38.2800"W, 54 m, April 29, 2012, collected by Nikolaos V. Schizas during the 2012 UPRM-DMS Mesophotic Cruise. GoogleMaps

Diagnosis. Slightly hairy integument. A pair of prominences at the basis of the frontal lobe. Frontal lobe with long marginal setae, five lenses, two of them pigmented. Long siphon. Maxilliped III with a slightly large basis, with two plumose setae in the distal outer corner. The uropodal peduncle exceeds slightly the length of the pleotelson, with one simple seta on the outer margin and 3 on the inner one. Exopod little shorter than endopod, both of them with long apical spines.

Remarks. This species was earlier described from British Blue Holes, Andros Island, Bahamas ( Petrescu & Iliffe, 1992). The present record is the first report of this species from Puerto Rico, from 54 m depth.
