Diagnostic characters: The male imago cannot be separated from C. nerius (see below).
Remarks: The type material in the Bishop Museum, Honolulu, has not been examined, but according to Cranston and Kitching (1995) is of too poor quality for species separation. However, C. claggi appears to be identical to C. nerius . It is known from Bonin Is., Belau and Micronesia.
