Climaconeis sp. ( Figs 24, 25 View FIGURES 21–37 )

Features: Length 140–190 μm, width 7–9 μm (middle part), striae 13–16 in 10 μm.

Description: Valves linear, elongated, widened in the middle, with broad and inflated apices. Axial area very narrow, central area very small and rounded. Raphe straight but bent to one side when approaching the central area, distal raphe endings terminate shortly before reaching apices and faintly elevated. Striae parallel, slightly convergent at the poles, coarsely punctate.

Ecology and Distribution: Unknown. Frequent in Basra corals.
