This species is distinguished from other Japanese species by the following features: body sub-spherical, 0.92–1.18 mm in length ( Fig. 1c View FIGURE 1 ); elytra impunctated; hind wings degraded in both sexes ( Fig. 3d View FIGURE 3 ); aedeagus constricted at antero-lateral sides, and shortly projected apically; apex of projection trapezoidal; anterio-lateral sides gradually narrowed to base; lateral sides distinctly widened to apex ( Figs 4i, j View FIGURE 4 , 6e–h View FIGURE 6 ); endophallus short and cylindrical, and sclerotized part at near base inverted U-shaped ( Figs 4i View FIGURE 4 , 6e, g View FIGURE 6 ); spermatheca ( Fig. 5g View FIGURE 5 ): receptacle oval; pump gradually narrowed to apex; spermathecal gland valve stout.

Description. BL: 0.92–1.18 mm (1.06±0.08, n = 15), BW: 0.70–0.82 mm (0.76±0.04, n = 15), PL: 0.18–0.24 mm (0.21±0.02, n = 15), PW: 0.58–0.74 mm (0.64±0.04, n = 15), EL: 0.66–0.82 mm (0.75±0.05, n = 15), EW: 0.38–0.46 mm (0.42±0.03, n = 15), HTL: 0.26–0.32 mm (0.29±0.02, n = 13).

Body sub-spherical and convex.

Coloration. Body pale brown ( Fig. 1c View FIGURE 1 ). Antennae and legs yellowish brown.

Head. Head rectangular, smooth ( Fig. 2c View FIGURE 2 ); frontal tubercles indistinct; frontal carina absent. Antennae: clava curved interiorly, straight exteriorly ( Fig. 2f View FIGURE 2 ).

Thorax. Pronotum trapezoidal, strongly convex; surface smooth. Scutellum subtriangular. Elytra strongly convex, impunctated and smooth. Hind wings degraded in both sexes ( Fig. 3d View FIGURE 3 ). Metafemora oval.

Abdomen. Middle of second abdominal sternite with sharply raised carina and 13 coarse and strong punctures ( Fig. 2i View FIGURE 2 ). Pygidium of male subtriangular with a pair of ridges in middle.

M a l e. Aedeagus rather slender ( Figs 4i, j View FIGURE 4 , 6e–h View FIGURE 6 ); apical margin projected; apex of projection trapezoidal ( Figs 4i View FIGURE 4 , 6e, g View FIGURE 6 ); antero-lateral sides constricted; lateral sides weakly widened to apex; endophallus short tube-shaped, Y-shaped at base, with inverted U-shaped plate at near base ( Figs 4i View FIGURE 4 , 6e, g View FIGURE 6 ). Spicule separated, slender ( Fig. 4k View FIGURE 4 ). Tegmen Y-shaped, slender ( Fig. 4l View FIGURE 4 ).

F e m a l e. Spermatheca ( Fig. 5g View FIGURE 5 ): receptacle oval; pump gradually narrowed to apex; spermathecal gland valve stout. Vaginal palpi deeply V-shaped, slender with three pores on middle and two setae on apex ( Fig. 5h View FIGURE 5 ).
