Chroococcus aff. heanogloios Gardner (1927: 9) ( Fig. 8G View FIGURE 8 ).
Solitary cells or in pairs, epiphytic on filaments of Brasilonema sp. , hemispherical, 5.36–7.81 µm wide. Without individual envelope or rarely present, conspicuous, thin, hyaline. Cell content homogenous, blue-green.
Habitat: —Rock totally exposed to the sun epiphytic on Brasilonema sp.
Notes: —Morphotype has smaller cell dimensions than described by Gardner (1927).
