Distribution. Russia (Lower Volga, S Ural), Hungary.
Remarks. Collected material contains more females than males.
M. lagopellus was transferred to Chilopselaphus by Elsner et al. (1999). We reassign it to Megacraspedus based on its external appearance, which is very close to M. argyroneurellus , and details in the male genitalia such as a subtriangular uncus and a pointed apex of valva placing it in the argyroneurellus -group.
