Ceylanidrilus Pic, 1911

The genus Ceylanidrilus was described by Pic (1911c: 198) and included C. bipartitus Pic, 1911 . Pic (1921) described two more species: C. atripennis Pic, 1921 and C. nigriceps Pic, 1921 using the original generic name spelling, before describing C. testaceipennis Pic, 1929 under the generic name Ceylanodrilus . There is no indication that this was intended to be a new genus so we believe it was a misspelling. Janišová & Bocáková (2013: 6) used Ceylanodrilus Pic, 1929 with Ceylanidrilus bipartitus Pic, 1911 as the type species in their generic revision of Ototretinae , but did not explain why. Here, we revert to the original spelling Ceylanidrilus Pic, 1911 .
