Celtis usambarensis Engler (1909: 309) View in CoL .
Type: — AFRICA. Tanzania, “Ost-Usambara” [currently Usambara Mountains ], September 1905, fr., Zimmermann 853 (holotype B barcode 10 0057900!) .
Nomenclatural notes: —When describing C. usambarensis, Engler (1909) mentioned that specimen Zimmermann 853 was deposited in the Armani herbarium. Most samples from this herbarium were transferred to the Coridon Museum in Nairobi; however, Zimmermann’s specimen was donated to herbarium B, which makes us consider the specimen at Herb. B with barcode 10 0057900 as the holotype of the name C. usambarensis .
Taxonomic notes: —Synonym of C. mildbraedii ( Sattarian et al. 2006) .
