Description of Caulobacter segnis View in CoL LR-4
Cells are Gramstainingnegative, nonflagellated, pigmented and rodshaped. Colonies are circular, convex, entire and white colored after 3 days on TSA at 30° C. In API 20NE, positive for esculin hydrolysis and β galactosidase. Negative for nitrate reduction, glucose fermentation, urease, indole production, arginine dihydrolase, gelatinase and assimilation of Dglucose, Larabinose, Dmannose, Dmannitol, N acetylglucosamine, potassium gluconate, adipic acid, malic acid, Dmaltose, capric acid and trisodium citrate. Strain LR4 (= NIBRBA 0000 114806) has been isolated from fresh water pond, Daejeon, Korea .
