Description. Female holotype. Body length 7.2mm, fore wing length 4.1mm.
Head. Antenna with 32 flagellomeres; basal flagellomeres relatively slender, first flagellomere about 2.3× longer than wide apically; preapical flagellomeres slightly longer than wide. Head transverse, width 2.4× its length in dorsal view. Temple short, strongly narrowed behind eye, in dorsal view about 0.5× as long as eye width. Interocellar distance 2.6× ocello-ocular distance, 2.1× distance between median and lateral ocelli and 2.0× diameter of ocelli. Inner eye orbits indented and weakly convergent ventrally. Genal carina bent outwards ventrally, reaching mandibular base in an angle of 90°. Malar space 0.5× as long as basal width of mandible. Face rugulose, flat in profile, narrowed ventrally, minimal width of face 0.5× as long as eye length and 0.8× as long as width of frons. Clypeus rugulose, weakly convex in profile, apical margin convex.
Mesosoma. Pronotum rugulose above, trans-striate below. Mesoscutum granulate-punctate, rugulose in notaulic area. Scutellum and metascutellum rugulose-punctate. Mesopleuron rugulose-punctate, trans-striate below subtegular ridge; speculum granulate, mat. Metapleuron rugulose-punctate, with ventral part rugose, juxtacoxal carina distinct. Side of propodeum rugose, dorsally rugose-reticulate, with median groove broad and relatively deep, and trans-striate; basal carina indistinct; medio-longitudinal carina absent; lateral longitudinal carina indistinct; apical carina distinct on sides; costulae absent; propodeal spiracle oval.
Wing. Fore wing with areolet large with a short stalk, emitting second recurrent vein from its middle. Second intercubitus vein weakly pigmented. Radial cell very short, distal part of surrounding vein about 1.5× longer than proximal one. Nervulus distad of basal vein by 0.2× its length. External angles of discal cell acute (70°). Hind wing with nervellus not intercepted and strongly reclivous.
Legs. Hind femur 4.7× longer than wide. Inner spur of hind tibia about 0.7× as long as first tarsomere of hind tarsus.
Metasoma. First tergite short, stout, strongly widened apically, 3.3× longer than its apical width, 1.2× longer than second tergite, longer than hind femur. Second tergite 2.1× longer than its apical width; thyridium drop-shaped, its distance from basal margin of tergite about 1.8× its length; third tergite about as long as its apical width. Ovipositor sheath short, not extending behind metasomal apex.
Colour. Black. Mandible except teeth blackish brown. Scape and pedicel dark brown. Tegulae yellow. Fore and mid leg coxae and trochanters black, femora yellowish-brown, tibiae yellowish dorsally, brownish ventrally, base of hind basitarsus whitish, remainder of tarsus brownish; hind leg coxa and trochanter black, femur yellowish-brown with basally and apically darken, middle dorsal part of tibia whitish, basal 0.2 of hind basitarsus segments whitish, remainder of the leg brownish.
Viariation. Juxtacoxal carina indistinct to distinct. Basal carina of propodeum indistinct to absent; side of propodeum rugulose to rugose; lateral longitudinal carina absent to indistinct.
Male. Same as the female.
Distribution. China (Beijing, Tianjin, Xinjiang, Yunnan, Zhejiang).
Comparison. This new species is similar to C. hei sp. nov., but differs from the latter by having the interocellar distance about 2.6× ocello-ocular distance, 2.3× distance between median and lateral ocelli, mesopleuron rugulosepunctate, propodeum rugose-reticulate dorsally, and tegulae yellow.
Etymology. The name is proposed in the memory of Prof. Xu Zaifu.
