Canthidium vespertinum Howden & Young, 1981: 86 View in CoL [here transferred to the subgenus Canthidium View in CoL ]. Type locality: Parama: Chiriquí: Renascimiento, 2 km north of Santa Clara, Hartmann’s Finca, 1,300 m, 08°51'N, 82°46'W (“ Panama, Chiriqui Prov., 2 km N Sta. Clara, 1300m, 8°51'N, 82°46'W ”). Type material: Holotype male (CMNC—ex Howden collection); see full list of paratypes in Howden & Young (1981: 86). Distribution: Costa Rica and Panama (Kohlmann & Solís 2006a).
