= Polypodium ophiocaulon Kunze ex Klotzsch, Linnaea View in CoL 20: 401. 1847.
Range: — Colombia and Venezuela to Bolivia (CO, LP, SC).
Ecology: —Common, low epiphyte in undisturbed montane forests; 750–3200 m.
Notes: —Notable for the very long-creeping, narrow, non-pruinose, twining rhizomes. The venation is regular, with included excurrent veinlets not dividing the areoles. It generally occurs at somewhat higher elevations than the closely related C. repens , from which it differs by rhizome scales with obtuse apices (vs. acuminate).
