Campyloneurum magnificum T.Moore, Index Fil. View in CoL 226. 1861.
= Polypodium fendleri D.C.Eaton, Mem. Amer. Acad. Arts View in CoL , n.s., 8: 199. 1860.
Range: — Costa Rica, Panama; Colombia and Venezuela to Bolivia (LP).
Ecology: —Rare, terrestrial, in forest understory along streams; 1100–1300 m.
Notes: —This is one of three species in the genus with pinnate blades, and belongs to subg. Decurrentia R.C.Moran & Labiak (Moran & Labiak 2016). It is most easily confused with some species of Serpocaulon , but Serpocaulon comprises species with areoles having one excurrent vein per areole. As in other pinnate species in Campyloneurum subg. Decurrentia , sori are terminal on the excurrent free veinlets. Tryon & Stolze (1993) treated this species in Polypodium .
