Features: Diameter 50–70 μm, costae 4–5 in 10 μm, internal transapical striae 10–11 in 10 μm.
Description: Valves orbicular and strongly bent. Marginal costae extends to one third of valve face. Median part orbicular with fine radiating striae. Axial area very narrow.
Remarks: The internal punctate transapical striae may appear in lines or separate puncta when changing focus.
Ecology and Distribution: Widely distributed marine species. Not reported previously from the Gulf. Rare in Basra corals.
