Kantius sphagnicola Arnell et J.Perss., Rev. Bryol. 29 (2): 26. 1902.

Original material.

Remarks.

Buczkowska et al. (2012a, 2012b) showed that Calypogeia sphagnicola is a complex of distanced taxa (at least three species should be recognized), where additional study is required to name all revealed entities. To date, this problem has not been resolved, and it is unclear what taxon is recorded for Guangxi Province in China ( Zhu and So 2003). Within China, this species is also recorded for Jilin ( Piippo 1990), but the specimen may belong to another species.
