Notes.

Burdachia comprises only six currently accepted species (one threatened species; Suppl. material 1) of trees or shrubs endemic to flooded forests of the Amazon rainforests of Brazil, Colombia, Guyana, Peru, and Venezuela, South America ( POWO 2024).
