Remarks.
The specimen figured by Reeve 1849 [1848-1850] was found and is now designated lectotype (design. n.). This hitherto unfigured taxon was regarded a nomen inquirendum by Breure (1979: 136) and Richardson (1995: 387). The protoconch is sculptured with axial riblets, typical of Naesiotus sensu Breure 1979.
